Jim Corbett National Park is one of India’s most popular wildlife parks. Corbett is one of the very few national parks of India which provides the opportunity of staying inside the jungle. This tour provides the unique experience of staying inside the jungle at ‘Dhikala Forest Rest House’. It is located in the middle of National Park, adjacent to the beautiful Ramganga River. Dhikala is also known as an excellent tiger territory and while staying in the middle of the forest you have an opportunity to cover all the surrounding area of the prestigious Dhikala range.
Dhikala FRH is undoubtedly the most popular place to stay at Corbett and thus remains high in demand throughout the year. As there are limited rooms available in this property, therefore, it is advisable to secure the reservation well in advance. The booking for Dhikala Forest Rest House is routed through Forest Department and to process the reservation, one has to submit the full payment at least 60 days in advance before the actual traveling dates.
At appropriate time you will be picked up from your place of stay in Delhi or from Delhi airport and transferred to Delhi railway station to board an overnight train to Ramnagar.
You will be assisted at Ramnagar railway station and drive towards Dhangiri Gate from where you will enter into Dhikala via Gharial pool, Champion road and High Bank – all of them are great observation points on the Ramganga River to see the wildlife from a close distance. On arrival at Dhikala, check in at Dhikala Forest Rest House. After brief leisure, proceed for an afternoon jeep safari to the Dhikala “chaur” – grasslands to encounter the vast wildlife of Dhikala. After safari return back to FRH and enjoy an evening wildlife movie followed by dinner. Stay overnight in Dhikala FRH.
Early morning proceed for an elephant ride into the dense forest of Dhikala range. Elephant safari is the best way to explore the wildlife from a close distance. Post elephant ride, return back to your rest house and have breakfast. Later after lunch and brief leisure, enjoy the jeep safari following a different route into the dense forest of Dhikala. Evening enjoy dinner and overnight at Dhikala FRH.
Early morning move for another elephant ride inside Dhikala range. After elephant safari back to your rest house and have late breakfast. Later checkout and you will be transferred to your wildlife resort outside the jungle. After lunch and brief leisure, proceed for an afternoon jeep safari into Bijrani range. Stay overnight at your hotel.
Morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Ramnagar railway station to board a day train back to Delhi. The tour ends here.
